1

ENDOWMENT: EXPANDED SUPPORT TO STUDENTS AND DEVELOPED INSPIRING EDUCATORS

As we look to the future, our most important strategic commitment is to continue to bring the best students and educators to Avon, to support them in their work, and to nurture those ties—invisible but indestructible—that unite them.

"Avon Old Farms School is a community, and it is a family. The faculty, the administration, and the staff want every student to succeed as though they were their very own sons. And we remember. When we Avonians get together, we always point specifically to those who were there supporting us every step of the way."

BRICKS & MORTAR: MAINTAINED MRS. RIDDLE'S CAMPUS AND MODERNIZED OUR FACILITIES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF TODAY'S AVONIANS

All who know and love Avon understand that the identity of our school is embedded in these walls of red stone—and that if they were somehow more precisely plumb and square, they would undoubtedly be less perfect. Memories of this place connect Avonians across generations and link us to Mrs. Riddle’s founding vision.

"I remember going to my first hockey game at Avon and immediately loving it. It felt like the whole school would watch our team play wherever they were—and we won three New England Championships in my days at Avon. It was amazing."

ANNUAL FUND: NURTURED THE HEART OF OUR COMMUNITY AND FORTIFED ALL THAT BRINGS US TOGETHER

Annual fundraising represents the lifeblood of an independent school, supporting every aspect of its mission and operation. At Avon, it supports the yearly commitment we make to our curriculum and faculty as well as other important operating expenses.

"The relational learning that happens at Avon—knowing your teachers also as coaches and dorm heads makes a strong impact on young men. When my mentors had more confidence in me than I did in myself, it inspired me to push harder, and good things tended to happen."

- Peter Reed ’88
